Biography
My research has focused on the work of women artists from the early to mid-20th century. Through my research fellowship at the Jackman Humanities Institute, I studied women surrealists and sexual expression, aiming to help fill the gap of scholarly literature on representations of female sexuality by women artists. In my Master's, I will study Modernist women painters Ithell Colquhoun and Hilma Af Klint, exploring how their engagement with occultism, in particular the figure of the Androgyne, informed their artistic practice.
